UK Beauty Schools Ltd - Terms and Conditions
This forms an agreement between UK Beauty Schools LTD and you. These terms and conditions apply to all aspects of booking a course and any other business arrangements. They aim to outline our obligation to you and your obligation to us. Course dates and assessments may also be subject to change.
Processing of applications
All applications are via our website www.ukbeautyschools.co.uk or via phone
Course bookings are processed on first come first served basis.
To secure your place on a course, complete an online booking and submit to UK Beauty Schools with full/deposit payment or give us a call and we can take you’re booking over the phone.
Places on a course can be secured with a 50% deposit. The balance is due 7 days before the course start date. Failure to settle the balance by this time can result in the course being cancelled (no refunds permitted).
Prices are correct at time of booking but may be subject to change. If packages are not paid for in full, when you book each course you must pay the correct price at the time each course is booked.
Models
It is a responsibility of all students, attending all courses, to provide models to practice on. Models must be a minimum of 16 years old (18 years old for intimate waxing, chemical peel, micro needling and electrical treatments). In the event that you attend without a model, your course can be cancelled (no refunds permitted). Please see individual courses for details on times require.
If you feel that you may struggle finding a model, please call prior to booking your course. We always promise to try to find a model, however we cannot guarantee that we will be successful. In the event that we are not able to find you a model, your course date can be rescheduled (no refunds permitted)
Whilst every care is taken when delivering courses to prevent any issues when students are practicing treatments, your model must be aware that this is training and they accept that there may be risk associated with receiving treatments from a student. It is your responsibility to make your model aware of this.
Students booked onto courses requiring a Patch Test will be sent the kit (with instructions) prior to the course starting. In the event that the kit does not arrive in time, or that a postal address is not provided, a patch test will be completed at the time of arrival and the model will be required to sign a patch test disclaimer prior to having the service.
Students should arrange student insurance to cover themselves whist practicing.
Transfer Policy
A booking may be transferred for the same course, subject to availability, free of charge if 7 days notice is given. If less than 7 days notice is given, you will incur an administration charge of £40.00.
UK Beauty Schools LTD is under no obligation to offer a transfer of courses.
Cancellations Policy
Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date, and non-attendance, will incur 100% of fees paid. If medical certification can be provided, the course will be transferred to a new date. Any subsequent course cancellation will incur a forfeit of all fees paid.
For Regulated Qualifications, there will be no refund of any monies paid once a deposit has been paid.
UK Beauty Schools LTD is under no obligation to offer a refund of any fees paid.
For cancellations with over 7 days notice, a fee of 10% or min £50 will be deducted from the refund of the full course price, this must be submitted in writing before the refund is given.
Refunds will not be made if any of the online training material has been accessed.
If cancellations are made, please be aware that the maximum refund that can be given from any package or voucher is £100. Vouchers will expire after 2 years (from date of purchase). Any outstanding funds will become obsolete.
UK Beauty Schools reserves the right to refuse to fulfil a booking should they not wish to do so.
Accredited course retakes are at the discretion of UK Beauty Schools. Any retakes requested at 3 months+, from the original course date, are chargeable at 65% of current course price.
No retakes are offered for Regulated Qualifications or courses discounted at over 25% of list price.
If UK Beauty has to cancel or reschedule a course or location due to unforeseen or change of circumstances, new dates will be made available as soon as possible. UK Beauty can, at no time, be responsible for individuals loss of earnings or travel expenses due to rescheduling.
Transfer of Fees
If monies are transferred for an alternative date, they will be held for up to three months, after this time if no alternative date booked any unused fees will be forfeited.
Certification
Certificates are issued in the name stated on the booking form.
eCertificates are emailed after the course is completed. If an eCertificate re-issue is required, a £10 admin fee is charged per certificate. If a hard copy is required, a £15 admin fee is charged (inc postage). UK postage only
Regulated Qualification certificates will be sent to the school from the Awarding Organisation once the qualification has been claimed. You will be notified of this via email so that collection or postage can be arranged (a postage fees of £15 apply). Portfolios can only be kept for 6 months after certificates have been issued. If they have not been collected by this point, they will be archived.
Certificates will not be sent if any fees are outstanding.
Reissuing lost Regulated Qualification certificates must be done directly via the Awarding Organisation (a fee may apply)
Changes to Personal Details
It is your responsibility to ensure that personal details held by UK Beauty Schools LTD are correct and to notify us of any changes e.g. name, address. Written notification of changes in personal details must be sent. UK Beauty Schools LTD will not be liable for any errors due to incorrect personal information.
Individual Needs
If you feel you need additional support with particular learning needs e.g. physical disability, hearing impairment or literacy skills, please could you inform us of your individual needs when booking. We will contact you to discuss your requirements.
Kits
If you would like to order additional kits, payment will be required in full before the kit can be ordered
Course Content
Copyright UK Beauty Schools LTD holds a copyright for all course content, which must not be copied or reproduced in any other form without written permission.
Weather /Adverse Conditions
If UK Beauty Schools LTD has to close due to conditions outside our control, including adverse weather conditions, virus, flooding or industrial action we are not able to offer refunds however the course will be moved to an alternative date.
Subscription/Renewals Subscriptions or renewals are the sole responsibility of the client. You must make sure they are in place and payments made as reminders will not be sent out. Failure to make renewals will terminate any contract automatically.
